      FALL 2012

1) Bell's inequality test - develop what will be a ugrad lab using the 
new equipment. 

2) Rb vapor magnetometer - develop diode pumped optical pumping 
laboratory and determine magnetic sensitivity/floor of a simple  
optical magnetometer. 

3) Tides of Ohio - develop and model a compensated driven pendulum for 
determinaton of small changed in local g caused by the moon. 

4) DC motor controller - hardware and software for a DC motor drive to 
achieve controlled speed at a range of torques. 

5) Thermomechanics of CLiPS films - study the thermal and mechanical 
properties and model the connection of these to the structural 
architechture of the CLiPS material. - for publication. 

    a) stress-strain as a function of direction along film, composition 
of film
    b) stress-strain as a function of temperature
    c) anisotropic friction in extruded films. 
    d) friction in the delaminated films
    e) low-angle light scattering as a probe for local ordering 
w/polarizer
    f) anisotropic electrical breakdown 

6) Coherent Perfect Rotation experiment - magetooptics and 
interferometry, for publication

7) Cliff Will's classical rotating Black Hole analogues - the carter
constant solutions

8) Bose-Fermi thermodynamic equivalence in 1-d harmonic traps
